PSHE

Our curriculum develops skills so that all of our children become:

CARING, RESILIANT, ENTHUSIASTIC, WONDERING

members of our CREW.

At Sarisbury Infant School we have a firmly embedded whole school ethos where the children’s personal, social and moral development is of the utmost importance to us. Our curriculum develops skills so that all children in our school can become Caring, Resilient, Enthusiastic and Wondering members of our CREW.

Our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, Economic education) curriculum is reflected in everything we do and the children fully understand our Sarisbury Charter.

At Sarisbury Infant School we are all part of the CREW and we are all on board the Sarisbury Challenger.

The aim of PSHE is for children to acquire skills so they can thrive as:

  • individuals
  • as a member of their family
  • as part of the wider community.

This website provides information about the role of PSHE in schools www.pshe-association.org.uk

At Sarisbury Infant School we will be using the PSHE Association’s Thematic Long Term Overview to ensure we are providing our children with a comprehensive curriculum, based on the three core themes of ‘Relationships; Living in the Wider World and Health and Wellbeing’. This will also ensure that relevant areas of the Government’s new statutory Relationships and Health Education are covered. Our new ‘Relationships Education’ policy can be found below, along with the long term overview for PSHE at Sarisbury Infant School.
